Drive Medical has acquired healthcare product manufacturer Medquip Inc, according to a July 2nd company announcement. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Located in South Carolina, Medquip manufactures high-quality nebulizers, respiratory disposable products, pulse oximeters, TENS units, breast pumps and digital blood pressure equipment. The company is best known for its AIRIAL line of pediatric nebulizers.

“This acquisition expands the Company’s consumer medical product portfolio and positions Drive as one of the leading manufacturers in the nebulizer and respiratory disposable product categories, said Drive Medical chairman and CEO Harvey Diamond, who expects the move to provide additional retail opportunities to Drive customers.

According to the company, Craig Bright, the principal owner of Medquip, will be joining the Drive management team as senior vice president of Business Development, Respiratory Products, and will be directing the sales and marketing activities of the combined companies’ nebulizer and respiratory disposable product categories in North America. The operations of Medquip will be integrated into Drive’s state-of-the-art Southeast distribution center located in Atlanta, GA.
