Late-breaking abstracts on therapies for asthma and COPD will be highlights of the first day of the conference, which is expected to attract approximately 20,000 attendees to the 435 scientific and educational sessions.

Lung cancer will be another focus, signified by Oncology Tuesday on day 4 of the conference.

Pediatric lung health will also be highlighted, and research on the subtyping of wheezing in young children will be presented.
