Drive | DeVilbiss Healthcare has launched the DV6 Series IntelliPAP2 AutoAdjust CPAP system, with optional heated humidification or PulseDose heated humidification.

The device comes equipped with enhanced connectivity options with proprietary and evidenced-based detection and response algorithms to improve therapy and patient comfort. The IntelliPAP2 is able to differentiate between periodic breathing, central sleep apnea, and complex apnea events, according to Drive | DeVilbiss, and automatically adjusts the delivered pressure.

The product includes an optional PulseDose heated humidification system, which can provide humidification during inhalation only and blows dry air during exhalation to flush humidity from the tube, reducing rainout, which will improve patient comfort and experience, Drive | DeVilbiss noted.

Key features/options include:

  • PulseDose Heated Humidification System manages rainout in the  patient tubing and mask by providing humidified air to the patient during inhalation and dry air during exhalation.
  • PureView AutoAdjust Algorithm offers improved sensitivity to a full spectrum of patient events from a simple obstruction to the most complex apnea, providing the most comfortable therapy experience possible based on the patient’s natural breathing pattern.
  • Connectivity, with Bluetooth standard on every unit, the SmartLink App allows patients to view their therapy results from their smartphone and transmit this data wirelessly for download into SmartLink desktop software.
