The National Asthma Educator Certification Board (NAECB) is currently accepting nominations for six open positions to its board of directors for the 2013-2015 term. Respiratory therapists are among the professional areas most needed to fill the board. Behavior science, health education, nursing, and physician assistant professionals are also needed.

According to the Call for Nominations, potential board members “are strongly encouraged” to have attained the certified asthma educator (AE-C©) designation. Additional skills or experience in public relations and marketing, moderating/facilitating strategic planning, credentialing/exam development/item writing, fundraising experience, legal acumen, and business development would also be beneficial for potential board members.

Applications are due by Friday, September 28, 2012.
