Asthma deaths in the United Kingdom have increased by a third in a decade, according to research from Asthma UK.
More than 1,400 adults and children died from asthma attacks in 2018 – that’s 2.5 people out of every 100,000.
One of those was eight-year-old Bailey, twin brother of Mason, from Cambridgeshire, who had mild asthma. Their mother, Nicki Davis, 49, says Bailey’s condition didn’t stop him from doing the things he loved. However, one day after school in 2017, everything changed. Read more at www.bbc.com
“It’s the highest since 2001,” a representative for Asthma UK told Yahoo UK. “We can’t say if it’s the highest ever because data wasn’t collected before then.”

The problem in the uk there are no specialist like Respiratory Therapist that respond fast and manage Asthma exacerbations. So the results speak for itself
Nothing surprises me regarding this as there is no efforts to improve care through specialist like respiratory therapist in the UK I’ve expressed my concerns and offered my skills and knowledge including much enthusiasm but no response its sad
