Since joining the NFL, Cleveland Browns wide receiver Jarvis Landry has partnered with the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation to support cystic fibrosis research in honor of his high school girlfriend who died of the disease.

Through a video from NFL Films, Landry details his relationship with his high school sweetheart, Mya Zimmer. Zimmer suffered from Cystic Fibrosis and passed away at the age of 24 years.

While a member of the Miami Dolphins, Landry created “Jarvis’ Jam” in partnership with the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, which raised funding for CF research.
