North Carolina health officials have reported the 2018-19 flu season’s first influenza-related deaths after two patients died on October 3, 2018.
Public Health officials said on October 3, an elderly person died of the flu in Buncombe County, NC. Health leaders also said the elderly person had prior medical issues.
A second person, a 29-year-old woman from Benson, NC also died from the flu-related complications.
