Philips Respironics, Murrysville, Pa, recently partnered with Aerocare Paul Home Oxygen Service of Greeley, Colo, to lend EverGo portable oxygen concentrators to help make a 2-day trip to Washington DC possible for eight veterans.

Eight EverGo portable oxygen concentrators were lent to the Honor Flight Network, a nonprofit organization that honors the sacrifices made by America’s veterans, for travelers who are dependent on supplemental oxygen. The Network organizes tours of the Washington DC’s monuments and sights, including the World War II Memorial, the US Marine Corps War Memorial, and the Korean and Vietnam memorials, for veterans to visit and reflect at their memorial, with priority given to World War II survivors and veterans who may be terminally ill.

The EverGo portable oxygen concentrators offer an 8-hour battery life to make air travel easier for individuals who require supplemental oxygen. The EverGo is approved by the Federal Aviation Administration for use aboard commercial airline flights in the United States.

In an announcement about the trip, John Frank, vice president and general manager, Home Respiratory Care, Philips Home Healthcare Solutions said, “We are pleased that the EverGo portable oxygen concentrators enabled these veterans to make this significant trip.”
