CAIRE, Ball Ground, Ga, has released the SeQual eQuinox portable oxygen concentrator (POC), designed for patients with ambulatory oxygen needs.

The system delivers a number of user enhancements, such as a multi-language voice interface that provides users with verbal confirmation of flow rate settings, battery times, and alarms.

Weighing only 14 pounds, the newly designed frame makes the SeQual eQuinox the lightest portable oxygen concentrator to offer 3.0 LPM continuous flow, according to CAIRE. Despite the small size, the device is still powerful enough to meet patients’ ambulatory oxygen needs, the company said.

The system is fully functional on AC Power in the home, DC Power in the car, and battery power everywhere else. With the option of a longer-lasting, 24-cell battery pack, the eQuinox can achieve 2.75 hours of operation at 2.0 LPM.

Providing both continuous flow options from 0.5LPM to 3.0LPM and 9 pulse flow settings from 16mL to 192mL, the SeQual eQuinox can meet a patient’s needs on the go, during sleep, while exercising, and at high altitudes.
