Thayer Medical has been awarded a group purchasing agreement for the Respiratory Therapy category with Premier Inc, according to a Thayer Medical announcement.
Effective November 1, 2015, the new agreement allows Premier members, at their discretion, to take advantage of special pricing and terms pre-negotiated by Premier for Thayer Medical’s respiratory products, the company said.
Premier is a leading healthcare improvement company, uniting an alliance of approximately 3,400 US hospitals and 110,000 other providers.
“Thayer Medical is thrilled to work with Premier members in reducing their expenses by offering its innovative and low cost respiratory products,” the company said.
The agreement will provide Premier member with access to a number of Thayer products, including:
- Thayer’s ventilator circuit components, the original Valved Tees and MiniSpacers were used by Premier members for many years under private labels.
- Thayer’s PrimeAire holding chamber device is intended for patients who use MDIs on a long term basis.
- The LiteAire, a collapsible, paperboard, dual-valved MDI holding chamber, is a low-cost alternative to many plastic holding chambers in a variety of clinical settings including pulmonary function labs and emergency departments.
- The Quake airway clearance device is designed to assist in airway clearance for patients suffering from various mucus producing respiratory diseases.
